Project Health Check

When a child's creative project or long-term goal loses momentum, parents often wonder if they should push or let it go. Use this tool to diagnose the current state of their project and find the right way to support them.

Understand what a stalled project needs

The Project Health Check asks five yes-or-no questions about your child's project. The answers help distinguish healthy momentum from productive struggle, a need for a smaller scope or a need for a reset conversation.

Each result includes suggested actions for the parent. A project that is difficult does not always need rescuing, and a project that has lost its purpose may need an honest conversation rather than more pressure. Treat the result as a discussion aid, not a diagnosis of your child.

Common Questions

What results can the Project Health Check show?
The four results are Healthy Momentum, Productive Struggle, Needs a Small Re-scope and Needs a Reset Conversation. Each includes a short explanation and suggested actions.
Does a difficult project always mean my child should quit?
No. The tool distinguishes struggle while your child still cares and is trying from a project that may need a smaller goal or a reset conversation. Discuss the result with your child before deciding what to change.
